RHEL 6.3 host running Workstation 8.0.5 spontaneously reboots

After upgrading from VMWare Workstation 8.0.4 to 8.0.5 just over a month ago, the Linux host would spantaneously reboot every 2-3 days.  We are running  kernel 2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.x86_64.  We unsuccessfully attempted to find out the cause problem over the quieter christmas period by running a debug kernels and attempting to catch the panic, if any.  We ran various hardware and memory checks on the host since the reboot was not even a result of kernel panic - it is as if someone simply recycles power - all checked out 100%.  There are no indication in any of the log files either as to what is going wrong. Short of redirecting syslog to another machine, we halted vmware and the machine became stable once again thus pointing the finger at the recent WS 8.0.4->8.0.5 upgrade.

This particular host runs only 2 VMs, both Linux.  One FC13 and one RHEL4.7, and both were 99.9% idle during the period after the "upgrade".

Since the downgrade to Workstation 8.0.4 (which we used successfully for the 5 months prior to the upgrade) we have not seen any reboots.  Has anyone encountered similar issues before with the recent "upgrade"?
