Usable takes into account buffers and HA. Physical capacity looks at the hardware as to what is availible.

Thanks for you answer i use default policy without any change but my question is another thing.

 

why you can not see CPU overcommited while aggregation of demand of VMs is higher than Host capacity?

I know  when CPU overcommited is occurred we have below solution

 

Determine whether the CPU overcommitment problem is temporary or chronic.

  • In the Planning tab, click Views and select Virtual Machine Capacity.
  • b
  • In the Host CPU line, examine the number of virtual machines in the Remaining Capacity (VMs) column.

 

My question is :  what relationship is between Remaining VM and CPU Overcommited ?
