i have 2 networks say 192.168.85.0 and 192.168.185.0  but host has single NIC, is there any way that i can run vm's of  both the networks on single host with single nic,  is there anyway to do so, as you said if vlan tagging is the only way then is vlan tagging works with an unmanageble switch.

Depending on your needs and possibilities there are some different options:

The best is to invest into a managed switch with VLAN support. The cost for this could be really low.

Another option is to just run several portgroups with different networks without VLAN tagging on the same vSwitch and physical NIC. It is very possible to have several layer 3 networks (IP ranges) on a single layer 2 (ethernet) network. However, this is not a "good" best-practice solution in any way and does not isolate the networks from each other, so if security and isolation between the networks are important than do not use this. If you just want a logical separation with different IP ranges then this will work.
