I second that for sure. Given the HUGE volume of install/uninstall questioins I think VMware should commit a fair number of resources and a higher priority to this problem with hWS 9 in particular. I suplp[ose 9 is now their "flagship" WS product.
Now I know you don't feel tlhat thre-party uninstaller do the job Ulli but really if VMware WS shows up in the list of installed products in revouninstaller (no I don't have stock in that firmImage may be NSFW.

This situation appear in several threads. With revo you may every trace using the "advanced" scan properites even if the installer fails - but I have n't tried that . Did you reboot the machine after every attempt?? Did you get to the intail screen with 3 options by runing the installer .exe (reinstall fix and uninstall - this is not the exact wording buit the idea is the same).Maybe it fails even before that screen.
Howe did you determine that the MSI databzzwe if corruplt? If it is you should noit be able to remove or install any program. Is that true?
KB 1308 needs to be rewritten/updated (as does 38 to some extent) but VMware can't do do that I guess unless they actually locate the root cause of these problems in thier code. Image may be NSFW.
