We are running into a some issues in a multiple environments where hosts seem to drop off the network when a 2nd vnic is added to the host on a vds. The odd thing is that it only happens to one host, but it is happening in two seperate environments (different vcenters).
Environment Details:
All hosts are using dual port VIC cards, connected to trunk ports on the 5Ks. We are currently only using 1 connection from each host, but each host has mutliple vnics configured on the VIC card.
Creating the vds works fine, and adding hosts to the vds works fine. The wierdest part here is that adding multiple vnics to the vds as vds uplinks works on 2 of the 3 hosts. When adding the second vnic on the third host (with the exact same configuration) the host drops from vcenter. All networks were migrated on the first vnic and as mentioned before, the configuration of the other hosts works without issue.
Any thoughts here?
