VMDK file without an OS..

Hi..

I am running VMware Workstation 9.. I have 2 VMDK files.. Both need to work together.. 1 holds a CRM application (A), the other holds the CRM database (B). A has Windows Server 2008 R2 & B is just a data drive without a bootable OS. A Powers On and boots just fine, but I do not know how to link it to B.

Obviously if I mount B as a Virtual Machine, it will not come up as it's non-bootable. I am having a logic fit here ! Can some one help me please..
