if i upgrade my esx host 4.1 (GA release to update 3) then is it necessary to upgrade vcenter server, following r the vcenter details.
vCenter Version: 4.1.0
Build: 345043
vSphere Clinet Version: 4.1.0
Build: 345043
I have downloaded updates patch upto build 721871, can i upgrade direclty esx4.1 260247 to 721871 or i have to download Update3 bundle ??

i always used esxupdate command to upgrade ESX hosts, can u plz help me with the simple steps or screen shots if i want to update the same with VUM, instead of reading a whole pdf file (: and b4 upgrade what will the pre-requisite and roll back plan ).
