Thanks for your reply. I installed the complete vCSA all in one go with the .ova file. Please excuse my ignorance, but how can I tell that the inventory service is working? From the web management page at port 5480 I can tell the service is running.
The IP address listed in the logfile comes from my DHCP scope. Could it be that this is a leftover from the initial installation when at first boot the vCSA receives an IP address via DHCP? Now when I think of that, I checked my webbrowser's history and voila: at the date I reinstalled my vCSA the last time, there are entries for https://10.0.0.105:5480/. BUt now it runs at another static IP address. So it seems the inventory service is trying to its original, first time IP address? How do I get rid of that?
