Yes, I use Norton Internet Security 2012. We (VMW Tech Support & I) tried to disable Norton - as well as disable all of the startup services and programs in msconfig - and still no success...
I took another user's suggestion and ran Process Monitor, but the boot log does not make 100% sense to me. Attached is a screen pic of part of the results. Pls review and see if any makes sense to you.
