Workstation Licence question if swapping to SSD drive

I'm a newbie to VM workstation and enjoying my development labs on my Lenovo laptop.

Having recently added a second SSD Drive i now want to switch this to be the boot drive on my Laptop Host.

if I do a complete re-install does this invalidate the licence with VMWARE?

Otherwise is there an even better way I can somehow snapshot my current laptop build to then reinstall on the new drive or is this just impossible.

BTW my current drive is 330GB with a recovery partition whereas the new SSD is 128GB.
