Do you have a cluster?? This seems to be the default behaviour of HA which is designed to shutdown all guest VMs running on one host if host itself become isolated. You can change this behaviour...

in VMWare settings i can see CD/DVD (IDE) auto dected. yes check box is at "Use Physical Drive" auto detecd(D:). here we can see auto detecd(D) "D" letter and in my computer there is "F" letter to cd rom.

The different drive letters are ok. What matters is that "Connected" is checked. If this still doesn't help, enable "Legacy Mode" in the virtual drive's "Advanced" settings. André
