As for the logs: I can't really interpret the logs properly, but I see that there are some errors with the storage device (USB stick).
Is there any handy way to copy the logs?

As for the static IP: I tried giving it the static IP within the router range, and it gives no positive results.
Edit: Tried reinstalling on a different USB stick, however the results are the same so far.
It has actually just occured to me that, in my installation at the customer's site the customer has also asked me to install ESX on USB sticks and I faced the same issues: couldn't ping the ESXi hosts, however I thought that the issue was related to the ethernet switches configuration.
